Letting Go

Once I had a dream, no one could take away. This dream enveloped my entire heart; I could see it, feel it; it belonged to me.

One day the dream vanished, someone had taken it; it seemed so far away just beyond my fingertips and it seemed I could never grab it back.

Left feeling like an empty vessel; a turtle without a shell. Exposed to all to attack; like something to be directed by another.

I began to grieve, but my to my heart it seemed wrong. Who has the right to dream; Me.

My dreams can come true even if I am blue; overcome that oppression; Give my life a chance to thrive, everyone deserves that.

So I ran, ran as fast as I could chasing my dream. It's mine I can do this, maybe not to your bliss but to mine.

I will never give up, stray away or go away from my dream; Forgive me, forgive me my dream you will not go unseen.

Because I will Let go.
